HELP RESTORE THE BRAUMART
The Braumart has been part of the heart of Iron Mountain, MI since 1925, bringing entertainment and togetherness to our community. Instead of treating The Braumart as a historical museum, we decided to bring it back to be an entertainment venue for our community. Our goal at Friends of The Braumart is to bring you the same joy that families have enjoyed for over a century.
This will take a lot of hard work, and we need YOUR help.
As a nonprofit, we survive off donations and community support. To be able to accomplish our goals and bring this historical theatre back to the feeling of the glory days we must make significant upgrades to our building and equipment to allow The Braumart to survive for another 100 years.
Every contribution directly supports restoration, operations, and future events for our community.
THE BRAUMART WILL BE RESTORED IN 3 PHASES.
PHASE 1
Expand Stage: Increase the footprint by adding 30–40 feet to the back of the building.
Modernization: Install a new fly space, lighting, screen, and sound technology to accommodate larger performances and improve audio quality.
Auditorium: Upgrade seating to improve audience comfort.
Lobby and Second Floor: Remodel the lobby and reconfigure second-floor offices to create an event space, catering kitchen, and artist residency area.
PHASE 2
Facade Restoration: Restore the front exterior of the building to its historic appearance.
Marquee: Install a new, modernized marquee to enhance visibility.
