Braumart Art Camp

The Braumart is pleased to announce a One Day Art Camp for youth, reaffirming its ongoing dedication to the arts in conjunction with its 100th Anniversary celebration. The camp is designed for children ages 9 to 12 and will include all necessary materials as well as lunch. This engaging program marks the first in a series of workshops planned by The Braumart.

Following a comprehensive introduction to materials and techniques, children will have the opportunity to create their own collages. Participants will engage in painting, cutting, gluing, and assembling their individual works of art to take home. After lunch, the program will transition to spatial arts, where clay will be used as the primary medium. Each child is encouraged to express their unique perspective through a personal sculpture, which they may also bring home.

The workshop emphasizes that there is no singular approach to artistic expression; all creative efforts are valued equally. Through participation, students are supported in building self-esteem and exploring new creative processes.

The workshop is led by Sarah Rice and Duane Peck, both experienced educators and Board Members of Friends of the Braumart .
